Sibane is an urban planning and development company. They asked us to create a conceptually based logo that had great visual appeal and interest. We were hot off the mark knowing immediately the direction we were going to take the look of the logo design. We chose to work with the shape of a hexagon. Hexagons, as we know, are used as the fundamental building block for bee hives - the epitomy of a perfectly planned development in nature. We firstly created the main hexagon logo. We took one hexagon and split it into 3 colour shapes so creating a 3D effect to form a cube. We liked the clever effect and association of a 2D shape becoming 3D, similar to urban planners' designs on paper, coming to life and turning into real life urban areas.
