Tyne and Dalby Wines gave us an amazing design undertaking: to create wine label packaging for their premium, upmarket wine range (Tyne & Dalby) as well as their secondary wine range (T&D). Our client loved the idea of including a key as a design element on both wine range labels, so we created one key in a vector style format and the other illustrative. At Love & Design one of our greatest cravings is gorgeous typography... Beautiful classic fonts arranged in perfect balance is what we strive to achieve all the time. We therefore spent a great deal of our studio time ensuring that we arrived at the best solution for the final typographic layout. Once client chose the wine label design option they best preferred, we then started the next phase of doing the DTP design layouts for each of the different cultivars for both ranges. After copywriting the wine descriptions for each cultivar, the back labels were then put together. Being complex label designs making use of foiling, die cutting and gradient pattern techniques, each label was carefully prepared and checked to ensure that the printed result turned out to be exactly as conceptualised. To follow through to the very end, we visited the printers on various days of the printing process to check that colour and details for each label were achieved.
